FoodinFocus Radio show has been live since April 2008; it can be located on 89.7FM.

I started the FoodinFocus radio show with no idea about broadcasting and a belief that if the station had invited me to do this show they must believe I could. It was with humour however that I launched the program, green with fear and a run sheet that listed seconds not minutes. Interview guests were hustled on and off like a conveyor belt… it was in retrospect very funny. Fortunately I discovered that if I tasted the wine on the show I somehow became far more relaxed and as I worked out that it was in fact impossible to break the equipment merely by looking at it I developed some confidence in this too.

In return I was rewarded by getting to interview some of the best food talent in Sydney and beyond. A privilege and in some cases an honour to meet and discuss real food with its biggest champions. The chef, producer, promoter and food lover. The show is live and for two hours on a Saturday from 4pm – 5.30pm we talk, eat drink, laugh and celebrate all that is on offer in the food world.

The chef’s talk about where they come from, what they believe in and in some cases will bring in fabulous dishes. The wine makers celebrate a drop with stories of where the vines began and the producers talk about the challenges of growing and rearing the best produce on offer. We meet the talented business people behind successful food brands and try the new products that are delivered to my door daily. It is so much fun!
